Greenlawns High School makes a bold move towards the 21st Century!
MUMBAI: The Greenlawns High School in Warden Road has become one of the first ICSE Schools in India to add Robotics & AI for all their students from std 1st to 10th — in their school time table in partnership with OLL.
This initiative has been started in the school by Ms. Caroline, the principal of Greenlawns High School. Ms. Caroline — an Education Stalwart is making sure that each child is ready to face the 21st Century.
The School has over 900 robots that cover the entire tech syllabus between Classes 1 and 10, a robotic kit which will help the students learn the syllabus in a practical way. No set up of any Robotics Lab and No need to hire a new Robotic Teacher… The course is conducted in the school’s classroom itself and will acts as an ideal environment for teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concepts to students. This will boost their skills in problem solving and critical thinking as laid down by National Education Policy 2020.
“We have also joined hands with OLL to carry out the robotics and Ai Coding training” the school explained.
This school has been converted into a digitally connected school with WiFi connectivity and Projectors. The teachers and students are trained in operating these robots and utilising the kits, she added.
According to Nimish Jain, a Class 8 student, who has made a working model of the Light follower robot , “The Robotic kits provided by OLL will help us learn subjects and remember concepts in a better way.”
